When we started own we were determined to offer the highest quality home fragrance products that reflect the collective we are part of. We share the same values as our sister company and hand pour every single candle, diffuser and wax melt in our Manchester based studio.

One thing we noticed before jumping into the world of contract manufacturing was that many larger manufacturers on the market do not actually produce the products on site in the UK, but outsource to large production facilities in china. This means that they do not have control over product quality but also no control the ingredients in the products or where they are sourced from. This caused concern for us as many of these facilities only care about the cheapest prices, often leading to a poor quality product at the end of it. By manufacturing in our Manchester studio we have full control over the entire process and the ingredients used. We’ve been making candles for years now and the same formula our collective uses has been brought down to Own.

One of the perks of our products being made in our studio also means we can send you regular updates, opportunities for more samples, even come and visit if you like!
